Terms of Service
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "Customer") and Mizuhodo Inc., a Japanese corporation operating under the brand name Kashido ("Kashido," "we," "us," or "our"), with its registered office at 1-8-21 Minami-Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0047, Japan.
By accessing or using our website at kashido.co (the "Site"), creating an account, placing an order, or subscribing to any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site or our services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Site or by sending an email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Site or services after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. About Kashido
Kashido is a premium cultural subscription service operated by Mizuhodo Inc. Each month, we curate a Monthly Selection of authentic Japanese artisanal confections and handcrafted goods, sourced directly from a different region (prefecture) of Japan. Every Monthly Selection is accompanied by a curated photobook and cultural editorial content, designed to bring the stories, landscapes, and craftsmanship of that region to life.
Our service is designed for customers who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and the discovery of Japan's regional cultures.
3. Eligibility
To use our services and place an order, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age; or
- Be at least 13 years of age and have the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. By completing a purchase, the parent or legal guardian is deemed to have provided such consent and agrees to be bound by these Terms.
By using the Site or placing an order, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set out above, and that you have the full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any person at our sole discretion.
4. Account Registration
To place an order or manage a subscription, you must create an account on the Site. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete;
- Keep your password and account credentials confidential; and
- Notify us immediately at support@kashido.co if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Kashido is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Each account is for the personal use of a single individual and may not be shared or transferred.
5. Our Products and Services
5.1 Monthly Selection
Kashido's core service is the Monthly Selection, a curated assortment of 8–13 artisanal Japanese products — including confections, regional specialties, and occasionally handcrafted goods — themed around a specific Japanese prefecture each month. Each Monthly Selection also includes a photobook and access to accompanying digital cultural content (the "Journal").
The specific contents of each Monthly Selection are determined by Kashido at its sole discretion, based on the results of our on-site curation visits to each region. The contents will vary each month. We do not guarantee that any specific product, brand, or type of item will be included in any given Monthly Selection.
5.2 Trial Selection
A single-box Trial Selection is available to new customers. The Trial Selection is available once per household address. Customers who attempt to place multiple Trial Selection orders from the same address may have their order cancelled and refunded at our discretion.
The contents of the Trial Selection are identical to those of the standard Monthly Selection for that month.
5.3 Subscription Plans
Kashido offers the following subscription plans ("Reservation Plans"):
| Plan | Commitment Period |
|---|---|
| Trial | Single box (no recurring commitment) |
| 3-Month Reservation | 3 consecutive monthly boxes |
| 6-Month Reservation | 6 consecutive monthly boxes |
| 12-Month Reservation | 12 consecutive monthly boxes |
Full details — including pricing, billing dates, renewal terms, and cancellation procedures — are set out in the Subscription Terms, which form part of these Terms and are incorporated herein by reference.
5.4 Digital Content: The Journal
Active subscribers receive access to the current month's Journal — a digital editorial featuring interviews with regional craftspeople, cultural insights, and travel inspiration — at the time of dispatch. Former subscribers and members who have cancelled retain access to Journal editions that are more than 2 months old from the original publication date. All Journal editions become publicly accessible 3 months after their original publication date.
6. Pricing and Payment
6.1 Prices
All prices displayed on the Site are in United States Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of the cost of the Monthly Selection box. Shipping fees are charged separately and are set out in our Shipping Policy.
Prices are subject to change at any time. Any price changes will be communicated to active subscribers with reasonable advance notice and will not affect orders that have already been billed for the current subscription period.
6.2 Payment Methods
We accept major credit and debit cards and such other payment methods as may be displayed at checkout. All payment transactions are processed by a third-party payment processor. Kashido does not store your full payment card details on our systems.
6.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails on the scheduled billing date, we will attempt to re-process the payment. If payment cannot be collected after a reasonable number of attempts, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your subscription and withhold the relevant Monthly Selection until payment is received.
6.4 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including but not limited to sales tax, VAT, and GST, that may be levied on your purchase under the laws of your country or jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, Kashido may collect and remit such taxes on your behalf.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund rights are set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated herein by reference.
In summary: all purchases are final and non-refundable as a general rule. An exception exists for customers who complete a designated customer feedback survey; please refer to the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details. Cancellation of a subscription plan does not entitle the customer to a refund for any amounts already paid.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping terms, delivery timeframes, customs responsibilities, and policies on lost, damaged, or undelivered shipments are set out in full in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated herein by reference.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Kashido's Intellectual Property
All content on the Site and in the Monthly Selection — including but not limited to text, photographs, illustrations, design, the Kashido brand name and logo, the Journal, and the photobook — is the exclusive property of Mizuhodo Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use any of Kashido's intellectual property without our prior written consent.
9.2 Your Content
If you submit any content to us (such as reviews, photographs, or social media posts tagging Kashido), you grant Kashido a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with our marketing and promotional activities. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, our systems, or any account other than your own;

Our services are delivered in part through third-party platforms including e-commerce and payment processing providers. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KASHIDO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THE ABSENCE OF ERRORS OR INTERRUPTIONS.

13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KASHIDO, MIZUHODO INC., OR ANY OF THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE AND WHETHER OR NOT KASHIDO WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN ANY CASE, KASHIDO'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KASHIDO IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kashido, Mizuhodo Inc., and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (i) your use of the Site or services; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (iv) any content you submit to us.

16. Modifications to the Site and Services
Kashido reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Site or services at any time and without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
17. Termination
Kashido reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site and services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we believe that you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or for any other legitimate business reason.
Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) shall survive.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms, your use of the Site and services, and any dispute arising therefrom shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Subscription Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Food & Allergen Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kashido with respect to your use of the Site and services, and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Overview
Kashido's Monthly Selection boxes contain artisanal Japanese food products and handcrafted goods, carefully curated and dispatched directly from Japan each month. Due to the perishable, artisanal, and internationally shipped nature of our products, all purchases are final and non-refundable as a general rule.
This policy sets out the circumstances under which a refund may be available, how to request one, and our cancellation procedures.
2. General No-Refund Policy
Except as expressly set out in this policy, Kashido does not offer refunds for:
- Monthly Selection boxes that have been dispatched;
- Subscription plan fees that have been charged and applied to a delivered or dispatched box;
- Shipping fees;
- The kiri box (桐箱) welcome gift included with 6-Month and 12-Month Reservation Plans;
- Dissatisfaction with box contents based on personal taste preference;
- Allergic reactions where allergen information was accurately disclosed;
- Customs seizure, confiscation, or disposal of a shipment (see Shipping Policy);
- Delays caused by the shipping carrier, customs authority, or force majeure.
3. Exception: Partial Refund via Customer Feedback Survey
Kashido genuinely values customer feedback as a means of improving our Monthly Selection curation and overall service. As an expression of that commitment, we offer the following exception to our general no-refund policy:
Customers who complete a designated Kashido Customer Feedback Survey will be eligible to receive a refund of 50% of the box price (excluding shipping) for the Monthly Selection to which the survey relates.
Eligibility Conditions
To be eligible for the 50% partial refund, all of the following conditions must be met:
- You received and opened the Monthly Selection box to which the survey relates.
- You were invited by Kashido to complete the survey for that specific box.
- You completed the survey in full within the time window specified in the invitation email.
- The survey was completed by the account holder and reflects genuine, first-hand feedback about the relevant Monthly Selection.
Survey Process
Survey invitations will be sent by Kashido to eligible customers by email [●] days after the expected delivery date of the relevant Monthly Selection box. The survey must be completed within [●] days of the invitation being sent.
Kashido reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a survey response meets the standard of genuine and complete feedback. We reserve the right to decline a refund request where survey responses are incomplete, incoherent, or do not constitute good-faith feedback.
Refund Amount and Processing
The refund will be calculated as 50% of the Monthly Selection box price (excluding the shipping fee) for the relevant month. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within [●] business days of the survey being verified as complete and eligible.
Refund availability is limited to one survey refund per box, per subscriber account.
4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If a Monthly Selection box arrives with visible transit damage, items missing, incorrect items dispatched in error, or products that have already spoiled upon arrival, please contact us at support@kashido.co within 14 days of receiving your box, with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the affected items and packaging.
We will investigate and, at our sole discretion, may offer: a replacement of the specific affected item(s) in a future Monthly Selection (subject to availability); a store credit toward a future Monthly Selection; or a partial refund for the specific affected item(s).
Kashido is not able to offer refunds for transit damage caused by the shipping carrier or customs handling.
5. Lost and Undelivered Shipments
5.1 Shipment Stuck in Transit
If your tracking information shows no movement for 30 or more consecutive days after dispatch, please contact us at support@kashido.co. We will raise an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. If the shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will, at our sole discretion, offer either a replacement box in a future Monthly Selection (subject to availability) or a store credit of equivalent value.
5.2 Tracking Shows "Delivered" but Item Not Received
If your tracking information shows the package as delivered but you have not received it, this situation is generally attributable to carrier handling error, misdelivery, or theft — circumstances that are outside of Kashido's control. In such cases, Kashido bears no liability and is unable to offer a refund or replacement. However, we will cooperate fully by providing all available shipment records and tracking documentation to assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
6. Cancellation
Cancellation procedures, deadlines, and the effect of cancellation on your Reservation are set out in full in our Subscription Terms, which should be read together with this policy.
In summary: cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for boxes already billed and/or dispatched. To avoid being charged for the next renewal cycle, your cancellation request must be submitted before the [●] specified in the Subscription Terms.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer without first contacting Kashido to attempt to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and Reservation, dispute the chargeback with supporting evidence, and decline future orders from the same customer or household address.
We encourage you to contact us directly at support@kashido.co before escalating to a payment dispute.
8. Consumer Rights under Applicable Law
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.

2. Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to the following regions and countries:
- North America: United States, Canada
- Europe: France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or freight-forwarding addresses. If your country is not listed above, please contact us at support@kashido.co to be added to our waitlist.

- United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Canada: ECMS Express
The carrier assigned to your shipment may vary at our discretion based on operational requirements, destination, or availability.
4. Shipping Fees
A flat shipping fee applies to all international shipments, regardless of destination. Shipping fees are non-refundable once a shipment has been dispatched.
A note on our shipping fee: We have negotiated the most competitive rates possible with our carrier partners. The shipping fee charged reflects our actual carrier cost — we do not charge a markup. We believe in full transparency on this.
5. Order Processing & Dispatch
Each Monthly Selection box is assembled and dispatched once per month. The specific dispatch schedule for each billing cycle will be communicated to active subscribers via email.
Please allow 3–7 business days from the dispatch notification date for your shipment to clear Japanese customs and enter the international carrier network. We are unable to guarantee dispatch on a specific calendar date, as the assembly process involves fresh procurement of artisanal and regional products each month.
6. Estimated Delivery Timeframes
| Destination | Estimated Transit Time |
|---|---|
| United States | 5–10 business days |
| United Kingdom | 7–14 business days |
| France | 7–14 business days |
| Germany | 7–14 business days |
| Italy | 7–14 business days |

These are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may vary due to customs clearance, local carrier delays, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
7. Shipment Tracking
All shipments include tracking. You will receive a tracking number via email once your box has been dispatched. If you have not received a tracking email within 7 business days of the expected dispatch date, please contact us at support@kashido.co.
8. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes
All applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, and any other fees imposed by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Kashido ships packages with accurate customs declarations in compliance with Japanese export regulations and applicable international trade law. We do not undervalue shipments or misrepresent package contents on customs documentation.
We strongly recommend that you review your country's import regulations for food products before placing an order. Specific items in your Monthly Selection may be subject to restrictions or additional inspection requirements in your country.
9. Customs Seizure, Confiscation, and Disposal
In the event that your shipment — or any item within it — is seized, confiscated, held, or destroyed by customs authorities or any governmental body in the destination country, Kashido bears no liability and will not issue a refund or replacement for the affected items or shipment.
By placing an order with Kashido, you acknowledge and accept this risk. We recommend familiarizing yourself with your country's import rules for Japanese food products and handcrafted goods prior to subscribing.
10. Failed Deliveries and Returned Shipments
- Incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer: We will attempt to contact you to arrange re-shipment at an additional shipping fee. If we are unable to reach you within 14 days, the shipment will be discarded and no refund will be issued.
- Customer's failure to collect the package: Re-shipment is subject to an additional fee. No refund will be issued if the package is discarded by the carrier or customs authority.
- Package refused by the customer: Refused deliveries are not eligible for a refund.
11. Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your shipment arrives with visible external damage, please photograph the packaging and contents immediately before opening fully, and contact us at support@kashido.co within 7 days of delivery.
If your shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier (i.e., tracking shows no movement for 30 or more days), please contact us at support@kashido.co. We will investigate with the carrier on your behalf and, at our sole discretion, may offer a replacement or store credit for a future Monthly Selection.
12. Address Changes
If you need to update your shipping address, please do so via your account dashboard before the dispatch date for the relevant month. Address changes requested after a shipment has been dispatched cannot be accommodated.
13. Food Products and Perishability
Our Monthly Selection boxes contain artisanal Japanese food products. All products included have a minimum shelf life of one month from the date of dispatch. Please refer to our Food & Allergen Disclaimer for further information.

If your payment fails on the scheduled billing date, we will notify you by email and attempt to re-process the payment. If payment cannot be collected, we reserve the right to place your Reservation on hold or cancel it. Monthly Selection boxes will not be dispatched until outstanding payments are settled.
4. Reservation Start and Monthly Selection Schedule
4.1 First Box
Your first Monthly Selection box will be dispatched in accordance with the dispatch schedule published on the Site at the time of your Reservation. If you subscribe after the cut-off date for the current month's dispatch cycle, your first box may be scheduled for the following month's dispatch.
4.2 Monthly Dispatch Schedule
Monthly Selection boxes are dispatched once per month. The specific dispatch date for each month will be communicated to active subscribers via email in advance.
4.3 Regional Theme
Each Monthly Selection is themed around a specific Japanese prefecture. We reserve the right to change the regional theme at any time prior to dispatch if circumstances beyond our control (including procurement or logistics issues) require it.
4.4 Welcome Gift — Kiri Box (桐箱)
Subscribers to the 6-Month or 12-Month Reservation Plans will receive a handcrafted kiri (Japanese paulownia wood) box together with their first Monthly Selection only. The kiri box is provided as a welcome gift and is non-returnable and non-refundable once dispatched.
5. Cancellation
5.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your Reservation at any time by logging into your account on the Site and following the cancellation procedure in your account dashboard, or by contacting us at support@kashido.co.
5.2 Cancellation Deadline
To prevent the next billing cycle from being charged, your cancellation request must be submitted no later than [●] before your next renewal date. Cancellation requests received after the deadline for a given billing cycle will take effect from the following billing cycle.
5.3 Effect of Cancellation on Remaining Boxes
- Trial Selection: There is no recurring commitment. No cancellation action is required.
- 3-Month, 6-Month, or 12-Month Reservation Plans: Cancellation prevents the plan from renewing at the end of the current commitment period. It does not entitle you to a refund for Monthly Selection boxes that have already been billed and/or dispatched within the current commitment period. You will continue to receive all boxes already paid for.
5.4 Pausing Your Reservation
Depending on the capabilities of our subscription management system, we may offer the option to pause your Reservation. Details of the pause functionality, if available, will be displayed in your account dashboard.
6. Plan Changes
If you wish to change your Reservation Plan, please contact us at support@kashido.co at least [●] before your next renewal date. Plan changes may not be possible mid-cycle and will generally take effect from your next renewal date.
7. Digital Content: Journal Access
- Active subscribers: Immediate access to the current month's Journal edition upon dispatch.
- Former subscribers (cancelled): Access to Journal editions that are more than 2 months old from the original publication date.
- General public: Access to all Journal editions that are more than 3 months old from the original publication date.
8. Changes to the Service
Kashido reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Monthly Selection service at any time. In the event of a material change to the service that affects your active Reservation (including discontinuation), we will notify you in advance and offer a pro-rata refund for any undelivered Monthly Selection boxes paid for.
9. Governing Law
These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.

Food & Allergen Disclaimer
1. Nature of Our Products
Kashido's Monthly Selection boxes contain artisanal Japanese food products — including traditional confections (wagashi), regional snacks, and specialty sweets — carefully curated from makers and craftspeople across Japan. Many of these products are produced by small-scale or family-run manufacturers and are not widely available outside their region of origin.
Because our products are sourced from a diverse range of regional makers, the specific contents of each Monthly Selection vary by month and cannot be replicated exactly.
2. Allergen Information
All food products included in each Monthly Selection are accompanied by an ingredient list and allergen information sheet, prepared in English and based on original Japanese product documentation provided by each manufacturer.
We identify and disclose the following major allergens in accordance with U.S. FDA labeling requirements (21 CFR Part 101) and relevant international food labeling standards:
- Milk
- Eggs
- Fish
- Shellfish (including crustaceans and mollusks)
- Tree nuts
- Peanuts
- Wheat
- Soybeans
- Sesame
Important: While we take rigorous care to identify and communicate allergen information, our products are sourced from small artisanal manufacturers whose facilities may not be dedicated allergen-free environments. Cross-contamination with allergens not listed on the label is possible. Customers with severe food allergies or anaphylactic sensitivities should exercise caution and consult a medical professional before consuming any product.
Kashido accepts no liability for allergic reactions or adverse health effects arising from consumption of the products included in the Monthly Selection.
3. Ingredient and Nutritional Information
Each Monthly Selection is accompanied by an ingredient and allergen disclosure sheet prepared by Kashido (Mizuhodo Inc.) in compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 101 and applicable labeling regulations. The labeling on or accompanying the products identifies the ingredient list (in descending order of predominance), major food allergens, net quantity of contents, and name and address of manufacturer: Mizuhodo Inc. (Kashido), Tokyo, Japan.
Nutritional information is provided where available. For some traditional or artisanal products, complete nutritional data may not be available from the original manufacturer. In such cases, we will provide the best available information and disclose any data limitations.
4. Shelf Life and Storage
All food products included in each Monthly Selection have a minimum shelf life of at least one month from the date of dispatch from Japan. Best-before dates for each product are indicated on the packaging and/or on the accompanying product information sheet.
We recommend consuming the products within the indicated best-before period. Kashido is not responsible for any deterioration in product quality or safety arising from improper storage by the customer after delivery.
5. Dietary and Religious Considerations
Our Monthly Selection may include products that contain or are derived from wheat and gluten-containing grains, dairy (milk, butter, cream), eggs, fish and seafood, soy, alcohol (in trace amounts, as used in traditional Japanese confectionery), and animal-derived ingredients (including pork-derived gelatin in some confections).
Kashido does not currently offer dedicated vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, or gluten-free selections. Customers with specific dietary, religious, or lifestyle requirements should review the allergen and ingredient information provided with each box before consuming any product, and contact us at support@kashido.co prior to subscribing if they have specific concerns.
6. Regulatory Compliance
All food products included in Kashido's Monthly Selection are selected in compliance with applicable export and import regulations. Products destined for the United States are accompanied by documentation in compliance with U.S. FDA requirements, including Prior Notice submission where required.
Kashido (Mizuhodo Inc.) is registered as a food facility with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and assumes responsibility as the U.S. importer of record for the purposes of FDA labeling compliance.
Notwithstanding the above, import regulations vary by country, and Kashido does not guarantee that all products are approved for import into every destination country. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the products they receive are permissible under their local import and food safety laws.
7. FDA Statement
The statements and product information provided by Kashido have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the purpose of treating, curing, preventing, or diagnosing any disease or medical condition. The products included in the Monthly Selection are food items and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
8. Taste and Quality Expectations
Kashido curates each Monthly Selection with the utmost care, selecting only products that meet our standards for authenticity, quality, and regional significance. However, taste is subjective, and individual preferences vary widely. We do not offer refunds on the basis of personal taste preference. Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details of our refund conditions.
